Not just for those in Detroit, but anywhere where the right to water is being restricted or denied!

hey everyone, this post has only gotten a thousand or so notes and only a single follower of mine has reblogged this from me specifically.
Detroit has been shutting water off for entire neighborhoods regardless of whether people paid bills or not. Even if they didn’t, should that really mean that they should die of thirst? Should there really be a cost to stay alive?
Please, spread this. Link it on other sites so someone down the line who needs this anywhere can take back water, something that should be the right of every human being.

Water should not be controlled by corporations. Water should not cost money. No one should be denied access to water, ever.
Fight for your lives. Fight to help others.
This is moral and ethical.

Love this. People stand up for your rights for God’s sake.

Here’s one you don’t see every day. Charleston, West Virginia. September 1, 1973. Steve Prefontaine and the legendary Jesse Owens….

How can I not look at this everyday of my life!?

Neil deGrasse Tyson, on being asked what would happen if the Earth suddenly stopped spinning.

Sidenote: This wonderful physics funfact is also why you should keep your car clean. A tissue box flying at 85 MPH after your car has suddenly stopped due to a car accident can kill you.

This is the funniest thing in the world to me right now and I don’t know why!

WELCOME TO KINGS COUNTY COMICS’ FIRST PROJECT:

WASABASSCO COMICS!

Spicy Sci-Fi Fantasies!

Artwork by Adriano Moraes

I have been an admirer of Wasabassco Burlesque since 2005. I started going consistently since moving to Brooklyn a few years ago. Since then I have always wanted to give these amazing performers the ultimate tribute that I can provide, their very own comic book!

My name is Kurt Christenson and I have been a comic book creator for 13 years. I co-created an abstract kung fu graphic novel called LEGEND OF LIQUID FURY, as well as the original NYC digital comic book series POWER PLAY with Marvel’s Reilly Brown (Deadpool, Saint George). Also, the author of the noir memoir THE TOWER OF BRAHMA.

My new comic book company is KINGS COUNTY COMICS, telling stories about NYC by local creators, featuring local talent, those larger than life performers that make our city the best in the world to live in. To celebrate a decade of "couple friendly risque fun” I want to create a “lost” issue of WASABASSCO COMICS, a relic direct from an alt.Earth telling the tales of Doc Wasabassco, Nasty Canasta, and their elite team of sci-fi fantasy performers!

When Adriano came on board it all came together perfectly. He took the basic ideas I had, and after a story session over beers at The Way Station, we knew we had a good issue laid out. The above two images are the first page and cover of the comic book. Medianoche opens the story, and the amazing linework of Doc & Nasty, posed like the sinister badasses they are, with our four select performers of choice for the issue.

We went with four who we felt were classic Wasabassco performers: MISTER GORGEOUS, EVELYN VINYL, HAZEL HONEYSUCKLE, MARLO MARQUISE. They’re going to have to face off against their doppelgängers from alt.EARTH, even as the AGENTS of WASABASSCO deal with an infestation of the B.R.O.bots and it looks like ALBERT CADABRA & DANGRR DOLL are on the loose again!

Over the next few weeks we’ll be organizing a Kickstarter to have the issue produced in time for the Tenth Anniversary of Wasabasssco. We’ll be offering rewards in the way of prints, illustrations, and a chance to be in the actual comic in the final showdown at Grand Army Plaza!!

Stay tuned for more artwork!

I launched my new comic book company KINGSCOUNTYCOMICS.com at a wasabassco Burlesque show this weekend. Here’s the artwork of the limited edition print we handed out and a brief breakdown of the project.

Please share and spread the word!

If you do I can make even more sexy fun comic books! Got some amazing artists lined up with tons of Superpower Romance, 70’s Crime, Revenge Horror, and Post-Apocalyptic Adventure stories to tell!

Awesome.

I love this already
